The Medical Society of Virginia has an extensive listing of physician resources and prescribing tools on their website. These resources include an MME calculator, a pocket guide for tapering opioids, addiction screening tools and addiction treatment locators.
The Center for Disease Control also provides online resources to prescribers, based on their March 2016 Guidelines for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain. CDC offers tools for clinicians, including a mobile app, as well as factsheets and other resources for patients.
